The Walking Dead - Season Finale Goner Prediction

The Season finale of The Walking Dead is this Sunday, which means at least one of our favorite characters will be kicking the bucket and going to Walker (or Non-Walker) heaven.  You know what that means? .... (drum roll please) .... It's Prediction Time!

But first, let's take Rick, Darryl and Michonne off the plate completely - there's no way they producers would kill any of these money makers.  Which leaves e'rbody else ...

Carl - I think it's safe to say that Carl is in the clear.  I think if he died at this time, Rick would finally have a breakdown that he couldn't return from.  I'm not saying he's safe, considering the Outdoor Cats are tracking them and ultimately find them if the previews for the finale are any indication.  Dead:  no.  Safe: 50/50.

Glenn - Oh, Glenn.  You've made some strange choices lately but it did inevitably bring you back to your lady love.  I am not in love with how they "saved" you from the bus incident, but you are a warrior and made it in the end.  Buck up, my friend, I think you're in for another bumpy ride ...

Maggie - Maggie, Maggie, Maggie.  You've gone a little off the deep end.  And I love you for it.  What I don't love is the fact you've been posting "I love you, Glenn!" notes dripping in Walker blood all over the damn town and not once have we heard you worrying about your sister's fate?!  I mean, girl, your Dad just got his head chopped off ... make sure you at least still have a living sister!!  I think I the part where you burned your photograph is foreshadowing your death, so you are one of my picks for the finale.  Sorry, sweetie, you will be missed.

Sasha - I think she has a solid chance of survival.  At least until she meets up with Tyreese again.  Then all bets are off (there are no long-term happy endings in the zombpocalypse!).  Plus, it'll be interesting to see how your relationship with Bob turns out (if you both survive, that is).

Bob - I think the group needs another doctor so Bob is in the clear for the moment.  I mean, if Bobby can get bit in the arm and still survive (yeah, bandages!), then we know he'll be okay for the moment.  I don't know how long he's meant to survive in Terminus.  Maybe they'll say he caught an infection and kill him off aka, add him to tomorrow night's menu?

Tara - I think she'll survive the finale but I don't believe she's safe in the long run.  I'm not sure how much more they can take her character but I could be wrong.  She actually reminds me of a cousin of mine so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and keep my fingers crossed she survives another day.

Doc & Co. (aka Eugene, Rosita Abraham) - we haven't learned much about them so I think they're all in the clear.  I do believe, however, that ol' Doc Eugene has no freakin' clue how the zombie plague started nor how to stop it.  I could be wrong but time will tell.

Tyreese - I really love this actor and character, especially after the "Grove" episode, and I hope that he survives and has plenty more lines next season.  So yes, I'm betting Tyreese lives AND has a larger role in next season (fingers crossed).

Carol - I think it's fair to say this bad a$$ chick is going to be just fine.  Heck, if Tyreese didn't take her out for killing his lady love, what can stop her now?

Judith - She's in the clear for now.  She has to meet up with her long lost Daddy and brother after all, so they will definitely keep her alive.  They're already killed two kids off (RIP, Lizzie and Mika), they can't possibly take the baby down too!

Beth - she's either a goner or on her way out the door.  I think her death will be Darryl's breaking point ... that is, if he can break away from the Outdoor Cats and find her.  And if the web-whisperings are correct, then Terminus is a cannibal zone and most likely she's on the menu ... maybe that's what Mary was cooking up when Camp Glenn / Maggie arrived?

So in the end, I'm betting my fictional money on either Beth or Maggie, but TWD has been known to shake things up and surprise us when we least expect it.

So what are your predictions?  Is there anyone you think I totally and completely missed the mark on?  Leave your comments below and best of luck this Sunday ...

The Walking Dead - Save the Last One (Ep3) Recap

If you're watching the new season of The Walking Dead, then you witnessed the actions of Shane Walsh played by Jon Bernthal).  AKA, Mr. Jackass as I like to call him.  The funny thing about Shane is, I was actually starting to feel a little sorry for him.  I mean, his best friend was supposedly dead (don't get me started on that episode - that was Jackass moment #1), he "saves" his BFF's family and later falls in lust / love with his BFF's wife.

When his BFF, Rick, returns from the un-dead, he is left to become the 3rd wheel and loses the possible zombie-apocalypse family future that was ahead of him.  THEN, he goes and tries to force himself on his BFF's wife at the end of last season's episode.  That was Jackass moment #2.

Then on last week's episode, he had a chance to truly redeem himself.  He embarked on a trip with fellow survivor Otis (played by Pruitt Taylor Vince) to retrieve life saving medical equipment and supplies for Rick's son who was accidentally shot.  It seems bleak for Shane and Otis as they are cornered by swarms of zombies.  Is it the end for our heroes?  No!  Otis makes a  beeline for one exit while Shane heads for another.  Shane barely makes it and injures his foot.  As he is stumbling through the never-ending (it seems) parking lot, all hope seems lost but guess who comes to his aid?  Why his fellow survivor, Otis!  Hooray!

Together, they are making their way back to their truck.  At one point Shane just can't go any further (remember the ouchie that he got earlier?) but good old Otis urges him forward and away they go.  Then, Jackass moment #3 is seen.  Shane, the coward that he is shoots Otis in the leg, which pretty much secures his fate as Zombie chow.

While I do appreciate the fact that this episode was chock full of zombies, I am disgusted with Shane's actions.  Really?  You don't think you could have hobbled just a little bit more to the truck and then drove away?  If this is what we can expect from Shane then I hope he leaves the group and drives far, far away.  And I hope that Otis' family finds out what happens and hunts him down ...

Here's to next week!

Fighting Zombies

Rule #1, never look a zombie in the eyes. Even if they have no eyes left in their sockets, if you're looking into the face of a zombie, you're doomed.

Zombiepocolypse

There is such a plethora of Zombie movies and shows out there that my cohort and I have decided to gather our vast (ahem) knowledge of Zombie-ness in one nifty blog in the event that the Zombiepocolypse does occur, there were will be a chance that we and others will survive. While the likelihood that such a thing could happen is pretty slim to none, ya can't take that chance if ya know what I mean. In the meantime I suggest you gather your zombie supplies wisely ....
